With large franchises, how would nominators like their fandoms categorized?
All Media Types? Subfandoms? By time period?

DCEU - Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, Justice League, Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Shazam merged together
MCU - Movies as one group, Netflix shows as a second, other shows separate.
DCU (Comics) - The main continuity comics together, with the option to specify Earth or status relevant to Crisis on Infinite Earths/Flashpoint. More standalone works that aren't part of the primary ongoing narrative separate like Red Son or Bombshells.
Marvel (Comics) - Merged but with the ability to specify what Earth when you nominate.

I don't have strong feelings about whether The Hobbit is divided between book and movies or combined as AMT, so I'll let other people comment on that.
