I tend to prefer non-generic Shepard, so feel free to explore any kind of Shepard you like (Paragon, Renegade, some combination of the two). I also am not a big fan of the synthetic ending, but I have read stories where I enjoyed it, provided it’s done well.
Male Shepard/Garrus: I love the loyalty between the two, the way both of them grow in the course of the three games, so anything exploring their relationship. Can be set after game, in a version where Shepard lives, can be slice of life, action-y, anything you like. I love their easy banter and understanding of each other.
Male Shepard/James: Anything that plays off their relationship is great. I love how they bounce off each other, the gruffness and fresh perspective Vega brings to the team. Again, happy to have it set anywhere—during house arrest, or during or after ME3.

Aerith/Any Turks, I love anything kind of exploring the complicated nature of that relationship—they’re supposed to be keeping her in her Cage, but they’re the only ones who really know her. I love explorations of the power dynamics between them.
With Tifa, would love anything exploring the way their relationship develops, becoming friends & comrades, the way each other’s strengths cover the other’s weaknesses. (If bonus!Cloud, I love poly negotiation, friends to lovers, covering each other’s weaknesses, and am fine with Remake speculation~!)
For Andrea/Leslie… go wild. I just think this pairing is super neat—experienced Andrea and jaded Leslie. I love all the ways they could play off each other.

Shale/Sten: I think Shale is canonically nonbinary and would like to see that not contradicted in fic, and would enjoy they or it pronouns (or a neopronoun if you want to invent one for Dwarvish or Qunlat!) but I understand that ODAO. DNW focus on Shale's former or current femininity/womanhood. I'm fine with them finding a way to transform back to a dwarf body of any shape but DNW focus on breasts/curves/etc.
I love Shale and Sten's cameraderie and Shale's horniness for Sten and Sten calling a magical bas creature Kadan and earnestly debating philosophy with them and these two are just so good. Would love an adventure during DAO canon, Sten's loss and heartache slowly healing, Shale learning to trust and love others, or a reunion post canon with the difficulty and potential angst or awkwardness of Sten now being Arishok. Or sexy sparring or fighting back to back! I love big tough Sten being the weaker one and being protected or cared for by Shale.
Sketch/Tug: Tug is such a mystery, but he cared about Sketch so much, and Sketch was so devastated by his death. I'd love either pre-Leliana's Song Sketch and Tug being gay and doing crimes, or a tender moment between the crimes- Sketch drawing Tug?- or post LS Sketch angsting- or both. If you have any ideas about what the heck was up with Tug, I'd love to see them. World of Thedas II also suggests that Sketch was once an agent of Solas's and like, damn, I'd love to see Sketch and Tug figuring out that they're agents of the Titans/Evanuris respectively and deciding they care more about each other than the causes they were once dedicated to.
Bull/Vasaad: Okay, so we know nothing about Vasaad, but I still love imagining him as Bull's tragic lost love that he didn't even realize was love because of Qunari repression (though I'm into however much or little romance or sex you want to put in there.) Would love to see a scene from his and Hissrad's time together, or an angsty depiction of Vasaad's death, or a demon taunting Bull with his likeness, or Bull talking about him with Dorian or Krem, or a WHOOPS turns out he wasn't dead after all just went Tal-Vashoth and Bull got brainwashed into thinking he was dead and now he's shown up at Skyhold!
Dorian/Bull is my otp so I'm very down with that ship appearing in fic set post Breach, and if you go with that last prompt I'm good with them either being broken up by Vasaad's reappearance or sticking together but would rather no poly.

I love this game and I love these characters very much. I love Serafen and Tekehu's relaxed bisexual camaraderie, and I love the antagonism between Aloth and Tekehu and Maia and Pallegina that easily reads as sexual tension. Tekehu/Watcher/Serafen is pure self indulgent fantasy; I wanted to have 2 blue boyfriends when I was playing, damn it!
Serafen and Tekehu: I'd love to see them bonding over their love of the sea, going on a fun bender in port, admiring each other, or perhaps catching feelings and trying to figure out how to fit that in with their usual love-em-and-leave-em lifestyles.
Aloth and Tekehu: I adore how one-sided their rivalry is, and how much of Aloth's irritation seems to be aimed specifically at Tekehu's promiscuity. I'd love to see that tension resolved!
Maia and Pallegina: I was really struck while playing at just how closely these two's moral codes aligned with each other and how much they generally approved of each other's principles- and yet they're utterly opposed on the future of the Deadfire. I'd love to see them become fire-forged, have to rely on each other, or try to tolerate each other for the Watcher's sake and then slowly realize they actually like each other. They're such a good battle couple too!

Astrid/Eodwulf/Caleb: I love them as horrible horny murderteens, and I love them even more fucked up espionage adults. I'm not that into the romantic angle on Astrid/Wulf, but very into thinking about how codependent and in synch they must be, and how out of synch and yet yearning they are for Caleb. I love spy stuff and hot outfits and dancing and sexy wizard shit.
Astrid/Jester: loooved their vibes in the dinner episode; would love to see postcanon stuff where their mutual connection to Caleb develops into a very weird friendship/attraction. The manic pixie dreamgirl/angsty dark femme fatale dynamic is so intriguing to me.
Astrid/Veth: would love to see an AU for them (Veth works with the Empire to study the beacons instead of Yeza? Astrid is the one who breaks instead of Bren, and is the wizard who gets thrown in a cell with Nott years later?) or a canon setting thing where Veth's obsession with hooking up Astrid and Caleb hides a fascination with Astrid herself.
Dairon/Beau: I just want more of them- this ship is so rare but so good. I'm into the idea of a spark of attraction that they both repress because it seems inappropriate, but becomes irresistible after time has passed and their dynamic has shifted. I love seeing them investigating, doing Cool Monk Shit, getting into bar fights, being socially awkward.

FINALE SPOILERY PROMPTS:
Astrid/Wulf/Caleb: I really wanted to see where life would take Astrid, and where Astrid would take life, as the new Archmage of Civil Influence. Does she have dinner with Caleb at the Academy, and try to draw him back into politics? Does Caleb find her and warn her when he judges she's going too far? Does she help Caleb when he gets in trouble for his treasonous lectures? And what about Wulf? Does he stick around, work as Astrid's bodyguard/enforcer, or does he take Beau's instructions to heart and find a new life far away, still haunted by the ghosts of his past? I would also be very interested in post battle sex at the Blooming Grove. I'd also love to see a Bad End, where Caleb is captured or falls under Ikithon's power once more. Note: I very much love endgame Caleb/Essek, and would rather room be left open for that relationship, mentioned or not.
Astrid/Jester: so that Dominate huh. I'd love to see more of that in any context. Maybe Astrid falls back into neutral evil and Jester has to teach her a lesson. Maybe Archmage Beck and Plank Queen Jester Lavorre meet up discreetly now and then for a bit of mutual fun.
Dairon/Beau: I desperately wanted them to have a moment after Zeenoth's trial, so. That. Or a future quest, or a glimpse of Beau being a mentor to new recruits like Dairon was to her. I don't mind Beauyasha and however you want to deal with it is fine with me as long as it doesn't villainize Yasha.

Male Shepard/James: Anything that plays off their relationship is great. I love how they bounce off each other, the gruffness and fresh perspective Vega brings to the team. Again, happy to have it set anywhere—during house arrest, or during or after ME3.

Aerith/Any Turks, I love anything kind of exploring the complicated nature of that relationship—they’re supposed to be keeping her in her Cage, but they’re the only ones who really know her. I love explorations of the power dynamics between them.
With Tifa, would love anything exploring the way their relationship develops, becoming friends & comrades, the way each other’s strengths cover the other’s weaknesses. (If bonus!Cloud, I love poly negotiation, friends to lovers, covering each other’s weaknesses, and am fine with Remake speculation~!)
For Andrea/Leslie… go wild. I just think this pairing is super neat—experienced Andrea and jaded Leslie. I love all the ways they could play off each other.

Shale/Sten: I think Shale is canonically nonbinary and would like to see that not contradicted in fic, and would enjoy they or it pronouns (or a neopronoun if you want to invent one for Dwarvish or Qunlat!) but I understand that ODAO. DNW focus on Shale's former or current femininity/womanhood. I'm fine with them finding a way to transform back to a dwarf body of any shape but DNW focus on breasts/curves/etc.
I love Shale and Sten's cameraderie and Shale's horniness for Sten and Sten calling a magical bas creature Kadan and earnestly debating philosophy with them and these two are just so good. Would love an adventure during DAO canon, Sten's loss and heartache slowly healing, Shale learning to trust and love others, or a reunion post canon with the difficulty and potential angst or awkwardness of Sten now being Arishok. Or sexy sparring or fighting back to back! I love big tough Sten being the weaker one and being protected or cared for by Shale.
Sketch/Tug: Tug is such a mystery, but he cared about Sketch so much, and Sketch was so devastated by his death. I'd love either pre-Leliana's Song Sketch and Tug being gay and doing crimes, or a tender moment between the crimes- Sketch drawing Tug?- or post LS Sketch angsting- or both. If you have any ideas about what the heck was up with Tug, I'd love to see them. World of Thedas II also suggests that Sketch was once an agent of Solas's and like, damn, I'd love to see Sketch and Tug figuring out that they're agents of the Titans/Evanuris respectively and deciding they care more about each other than the causes they were once dedicated to.
Bull/Vasaad: Okay, so we know nothing about Vasaad, but I still love imagining him as Bull's tragic lost love that he didn't even realize was love because of Qunari repression (though I'm into however much or little romance or sex you want to put in there.) Would love to see a scene from his and Hissrad's time together, or an angsty depiction of Vasaad's death, or a demon taunting Bull with his likeness, or Bull talking about him with Dorian or Krem, or a WHOOPS turns out he wasn't dead after all just went Tal-Vashoth and Bull got brainwashed into thinking he was dead and now he's shown up at Skyhold!
Dorian/Bull is my otp so I'm very down with that ship appearing in fic set post Breach, and if you go with that last prompt I'm good with them either being broken up by Vasaad's reappearance or sticking together but would rather no poly.

I love this game and I love these characters very much. I love Serafen and Tekehu's relaxed bisexual camaraderie, and I love the antagonism between Aloth and Tekehu and Maia and Pallegina that easily reads as sexual tension. Tekehu/Watcher/Serafen is pure self indulgent fantasy; I wanted to have 2 blue boyfriends when I was playing, damn it!
Serafen and Tekehu: I'd love to see them bonding over their love of the sea, going on a fun bender in port, admiring each other, or perhaps catching feelings and trying to figure out how to fit that in with their usual love-em-and-leave-em lifestyles.
Aloth and Tekehu: I adore how one-sided their rivalry is, and how much of Aloth's irritation seems to be aimed specifically at Tekehu's promiscuity. I'd love to see that tension resolved!
Maia and Pallegina: I was really struck while playing at just how closely these two's moral codes aligned with each other and how much they generally approved of each other's principles- and yet they're utterly opposed on the future of the Deadfire. I'd love to see them become fire-forged, have to rely on each other, or try to tolerate each other for the Watcher's sake and then slowly realize they actually like each other. They're such a good battle couple too!

Astrid/Eodwulf/Caleb: I love them as horrible horny murderteens, and I love them even more fucked up espionage adults. I'm not that into the romantic angle on Astrid/Wulf, but very into thinking about how codependent and in synch they must be, and how out of synch and yet yearning they are for Caleb. I love spy stuff and hot outfits and dancing and sexy wizard shit.
Astrid/Jester: loooved their vibes in the dinner episode; would love to see postcanon stuff where their mutual connection to Caleb develops into a very weird friendship/attraction. The manic pixie dreamgirl/angsty dark femme fatale dynamic is so intriguing to me.
Astrid/Veth: would love to see an AU for them (Veth works with the Empire to study the beacons instead of Yeza? Astrid is the one who breaks instead of Bren, and is the wizard who gets thrown in a cell with Nott years later?) or a canon setting thing where Veth's obsession with hooking up Astrid and Caleb hides a fascination with Astrid herself.
Dairon/Beau: I just want more of them- this ship is so rare but so good. I'm into the idea of a spark of attraction that they both repress because it seems inappropriate, but becomes irresistible after time has passed and their dynamic has shifted. I love seeing them investigating, doing Cool Monk Shit, getting into bar fights, being socially awkward.

FINALE SPOILERY PROMPTS:
Astrid/Wulf/Caleb: I really wanted to see where life would take Astrid, and where Astrid would take life, as the new Archmage of Civil Influence. Does she have dinner with Caleb at the Academy, and try to draw him back into politics? Does Caleb find her and warn her when he judges she's going too far? Does she help Caleb when he gets in trouble for his treasonous lectures? And what about Wulf? Does he stick around, work as Astrid's bodyguard/enforcer, or does he take Beau's instructions to heart and find a new life far away, still haunted by the ghosts of his past? I would also be very interested in post battle sex at the Blooming Grove. I'd also love to see a Bad End, where Caleb is captured or falls under Ikithon's power once more. Note: I very much love endgame Caleb/Essek, and would rather room be left open for that relationship, mentioned or not.
Astrid/Jester: so that Dominate huh. I'd love to see more of that in any context. Maybe Astrid falls back into neutral evil and Jester has to teach her a lesson. Maybe Archmage Beck and Plank Queen Jester Lavorre meet up discreetly now and then for a bit of mutual fun.
Dairon/Beau: I desperately wanted them to have a moment after Zeenoth's trial, so. That. Or a future quest, or a glimpse of Beau being a mentor to new recruits like Dairon was to her. I don't mind Beauyasha and however you want to deal with it is fine with me as long as it doesn't villainize Yasha.
